- The Stairway to the Stars
As the world’s longest continuous motor stairway, the Stairway to the Stars at Busch Gardens Tampa is a must-see for thrill-seekers of all ages.
The stairway takes visitors over a reflection pool to an 86-foot observation deck.
The building’s roof was once home to penguins and sea lions. A $25 million investment from Anheuser-Busch, the stairway was once the world’s longest, reaching over 160 feet up the brewery’s facade.
The park was a favorite for American Coaster Enthusiasts in the 1980s. Montu, a roller coaster that reached speeds of 60 miles per hour, was a thrill ride for many. It held the world record for the tallest inverted roller coaster for a year but was eventually surpassed by the Alpengeist.
The ride’s popularity prompted a member of the American Coaster Enthusiast group to move to Tampa and ride the ride as many times as possible.
After several visits to Busch Gardens, he reached 1,000 rides on Montu and later set a record on Gwazi at the park.
- The Serengeti Railway

Before the official opening date of June 19, the appeal had been closed for the entire first week of August. The park had to close the park Egypt area during this time, and the new ride was not yet operational.
At Busch Gardens Tampa, the Cobra’s Curse roller coaster has elevator lift hills and spinning cars. The ride will be built in the Egypt section of the park.
In addition to the Cobra coaster, the queue area will feature a state-of-the-art snake exhibit and an immersive themed experience. The ride requires riders to be at least 42 inches tall if riding with a chaperone, and 48 inches tall, if riding alone.
- The Scorpion
The Scorpion is a steel roller coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida. The coaster was designed by Werner Stengel and built by Anton Schwarzkopf.
It opened on May 16, 1980. It was the park’s second roller coaster. It’s a famous thrill ride that has been the subject of numerous movies, including “Seven” horror movies.
The Scorpion at Busch Gardens Tampa is one of the park’s oldest roller coasters. It is an eight-minute ride and is one of only three remaining Silver Arrow models.
Furthermore, the coaster was built as part of the Timbuktu area, renamed Pantopia in 2014. This ride replaced Python, the park’s first roller coaster. Since then, it has remained the oldest roller coaster at Busch Gardens.
- The Animal Care Center
The Animal Care Center at Busch Gardens Tampa offers a unique opportunity to see the inner workings of a zoological park.
Guests will not only be able to view the animals being cared for, but they can also observe how they are treated firsthand. They will also be able to see X-rays and surgeries, and they can even chat with the veterinarians.

Busch Gardens serves more than 1.4 million pounds of food per year to its animals, and its nutrition team makes changes to 60 percent of their diets monthly. Even if a particular animal is not in optimal health, they’re still well-fed and happy at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
